The Ryzen 7000 CPU family has already made its way into AMD’s AM5 platform. These AMD Ryzen chipsets, which are based on the Zen 4 architecture, demonstrate that they are not only very capable but also very affordable. What about the APU side, though, is the actual issue.
Apparently, information about the new AM5 platform has surfaced. The platform provides us a preview of what the AMD Ryzen series of Processors will include going forward. Also, it implies that the G-series APUs in the lineup could include far stronger iGPUs than before.
WHAT THE AMD RYZEN 6000G AND RYZEN 7000G COULD AFFORD
The Ryzen G-series of processors offer desktop CPUs with the performance of mobile devices. Although the Ryzen 7000X, which was introduced last year, was a great CPU, it was missing an iGPU. Nevertheless, an iGPU is now included with every desktop CPU with AMD Ryzen Zen 4 cores. They do offer one, although a very simple one.
But, the Radeon 700M models, which will launch with the AMD Ryzen 7040 Phoenix APUs, will be the primary attraction. The next generation of iGPUs will be a lot quicker and more potent than the current versions. The same will apply to Ryzen 6000G versions as well.
HXL, a Twitter user @9550pro, discovered a table that had been stolen from Gigabyte. The AMD Ryzen AM5 platform has three distinct CPUs on display. The table not only demonstrates the CPU core design, but it also discusses APUs. That is, instead of Vega, the upcoming line of APUs will finally have RDNA 2 and RDNA 3 iGPUs.
Can the new iGPUs deliver improved performance, though? Previous leaks indicate that the AMD RDNA 3 iGPUs can perform on par with the Nvidia GTX 1650. In addition, the GTX 1650 is a superb entry-level card, in case you didn’t know. So if you’re planning to construct a new Computer soon, the new AMD Ryzen APUs are undoubtedly something to look forward to.
