According to Weibo user Setsuna Digital, Apple will debut the yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus this Spring after introducing green colour variants of the iPhone 13 lineup in March.
We are unable to verify Setsuna’s track record, and their January Weibo post announcing the release of the yellow iPhone 14 in the spring of 2023 is the only one we have. While MacRumors learned from multiple sources that Apple’s PR team is planning a product briefing for the yellow iPhone 14 next week, which could be the case given that the green iPhone 13 models were unveiled on March 8, 2022, the people at 9To5Mac were able to independently confirm the expectation of a yellow iPhone 14.
While the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max were revealed in an Alpine Green colour, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini were introduced in a plain green colour. It is unknown whether Apple will use the same strategy this time or, as the source suggests, only release the vanilla and Plus versions in yellow.
However, even if these reports about the yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are accurate, Apple will still release a yellow-colored iPhone in the future. A yellow iPhone 11 was released by the Cupertino-based tech company in 2019, along with the iPhone XR and iPhone 5C.
